I got a 9oz package of Sea Fare Pacific Smoked Salmon chowder in my guru box. Since it was a chilly night before Thanksgiving and I wasn’t hungry thinking about the wonderful meal that will be prepared tomorrow I thought it would be a great night for soup.
After tasting the smoked salmon I am very interested in tasting the other flavors these guys make.
Pros:
The taste was just as described. large chunks, hearty and healthy, perfection in every pouch. I could have ate it right out of the pouch without adding anything. However being a salt fanatic I added my red sea salt (just a bit) to make it all the more flavorful.
I loved the veggie combination. I though eww when I read corn but it turned out to be the most favorite thing in there. chowder I know but I am a fan of clam which I don’t make with corn.
It was filling and I quite enjoyed it. Depending on the price I would not hesitate to buy it again for the simple fact, its naturally gluten free. It has no GMOs, Its made from wild salmon from the US. It is a little higher calorie at 400 for the entire pouch but the fat is 15 grams and protein 7 grams. To add to how they work hard for the consumer the package is bpa free, it is dolphin safe and sustainable. Its also packed with Omega Goodness. Now I don’t know what all of this means or how it affects the soup but the fact that they are trying so hard and can still put out a great soup. Hey they have my vote.
there are some cons however…………
serving size is 4.5 oz. the whole pouch made 1/2 a bowl and I could have scarfed down another package making this a 800 calorie meal. This soup left me with wanting more. I am glad I didn’t have another package I most likely would have ate it.
So calorie/serving size not ideal but its a grab and go package that tastes great.
Good Job SeaFarePacific
Here is my 1/2 of bowl.
