Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

this year I won’t be posting much in the way of foods.   We have one family member gone out of state and two on diets and one who cannot or will not eat anything and that leaves me and since I don’t cook the Thanksgiving meal I don’t have much say.

My husband has always done the cooking at Thanksgiving since day one of marriage with me being left with the little things like jello salads that are done the day before.   I love it, I would love it more if I didn’t have to clean it all up afterwards.

Here is our menu just in-case you needs some last minute ideas.  We are skipping the three pies and jello salads this year.  Sadly my favorite part.

Turkey ~ bread stuffing ~ oyster stuffing ~ sweet potato casserole ~ scharrs rolls ~ 7 layer salad ~ deviled eggs ~ pickles (sweet and dill) ~ olives (black and green) ~ and an small (single serve) apple pie.

Our plan is not to have leftovers of anything but the turkey.

Even though its not going to be a stuff yourself till you bust with leftovers for two weeks type of Thanksgiving there is still lots to be thankful for.  Health, gluten free goodness, family, friends, and the list could go on forever.
