If you are looking for a low-calorie chicken meal then please don’t read this post. This is the sweetest, stickiest, sugar coma inducing recipe I have had in a long time, And I LOVED every bite I took of it.
1 lb of chicken breast cut into strips or chunks, however you like to eat it. I put this over rice so bite size chunks worked best for me.
take the strips/chunks and dip in GF flour of choice, dip in whisked egg with milk then back into flour. Deep fry. I usually make large batches because we are forever eating chicken nugget type things.
in saucepan add 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup maple syrup, 1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans. A variation of this adds 2 tsp creole seasoning for a bite. Sweet/spicy type meal. Boil for about 5 minutes
Take the chicken nuggets and pour the sauce over it and then bake in a baking pan for 30-40 minutes. Serve over rice as there will be plenty of gooey, sugary sauce. The rice will help you tolerate the sugar overload!
this will definitely cure what ails you, if what ails you is a sweet tooth! dreaming of the leftovers right now! yes there were left overs, remember that sugar coma I warned you about, well about 10 pieces in; that is where I was (not literally) and had to put the rest away for another day.
sweet!
