Doing the Whole-30 diet has been a fun experience. We have discovered many new recipes, but there is one recipe we keep going back to time and time again.
My daughter loves sweet potatoes and my husband loves meat so one day we combined the two and came up with a hash, that is now a weekly staple. We have also found this re-heats well for our next day lunches.
Ingredients
- 1 roll of Isernio"s chicken Italian sausage
- 4- sweet potatoes, cubed
- 1 large onion, diced
- Favorite spices (we use Fennel, Curry, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, pepper)
- chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a deep pan, brown the chicken sausage and set aside
- In the same pan, adding a little oil if needed sauteed the potatoes and onion. Once the potatoes start to get a little done add the sausage back in along with whatever seasoning you will be using. Continue to saute until the potatoes are fork tender.
- Serve and Enjoy

Our Favorite thing to pair with this dish is some crispy pan fried asparagus. A little oil in the pan heated at high Temp gives the asparagus and nice crispy skin and we then sprinkle with garlic and onion powder.
this combo is absolutely amazing and is very filling. On Cold winter nights this really hits the spot.
